Chess Team
At Cedar Creek, chess is a winter activity. We play on Tuesdays after school in-person against other schools through the South Jersey Chess League. Matches are a one-day-per-week commitment during the season.
Matches are 10 v 10: the top 5 students constitute our "varsity" team, and the bottom 5 students constitute our "JV" team.

Zero Period & Google Classroom
The chess club meets for informal chess-playing on C-Days in Room 408 during zero period. No commitment to after-school matches is required.
The chess team meets during these same times to practice.
This zero period opportunity exists all year, regardless of whether the chess team is in season.
Cedar Creek has numerous boards, chess clocks, etc., to support lots of interest.
