Yesterday, several teachers from Absegami, Oakcrest and Cedar Creek participated in a workshop on Civil Discourse. The workshop, presented by The Sphere Institute, focused on strategies to approach difficult topics with our students.

Our Absegami STEMbassadors presented fun and engaging STEM activities to families at Smithville Elementary School last night. Our students were able to share a variety of new STEM kits thanks to a generous grant from the Greater Egg Harbor Regional Education Foundation.

This morning at 7:54am a malfunction of a smoke detector in a closet at Absegami High School initiated an evacuation of our building. The fire department arrived, walked and cleared our building, and reset our entire system out of an abundance of caution. The students were brought back inside once directed by the fire department. At this point we will be returning to a normal schedule. Thank you.
The Absegami Drama Club journeyed to New York City to see Thornton Wilder's play Our Town on Broadway with Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory!

Stockton University IDD in Guidance was a huge success! Stockton offered acceptances to 14 Gami students and awarded a total of $79,000 annual merit-based scholarships.
