Thank you Atlantic City Electric for hosting another great climate change workshop. The GEHRHSD staff really enjoyed it and can't wait to implement some of the lessons with our students.

The Winter Track team competed in Staten Island on Monday. Ryan McCann blazed to a school record in the 1600m. Seniors Sa’Niya Hicks (55m&200m), Richie Gonzales (200m) and Frank Maione (800m) took advantage of the fast competition to throw down personal bests. Go Pirates!!!

Congratulations to Cedar Creek’s Mock Trial team for defeating Mainland in the Semi-Finals. They will now advance to the Atlantic County Finals.

On Saturday, 1/31/26, Leul Geremew competed in the American Legion POST 158 Oratorical Contest. He will move on to the Atlantic County competition on Monday, 2/16/26, in Northfield. Good Luck!

Congratulations to our January Students of the Month.

The Winter Track team had an exciting day at the South Jersey Coaches Meet. Richie Gonzales blazed his way to 1st place in the 55m dash, while Ryan McCann and Vinny Vecchio clocked the 3rd and 4th fastest 3200m times in school history.

The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District will be operating at regular schedule tomorrow, Wednesday January 28, 2026.

The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 27. Throughout the day we made great efforts to get our buildings prepared, but in consultation with our constituent and sending districts and our local law-enforcement and our transportation providers, there are just too many safety concerns on back roads and in many of our neighborhoods. We recognize and understand that many of the main roads look and are in fact fine, but this district is so expansive and has so many students coming from remote and rural-like areas that we cannot in good conscience put those students and staff in dangerous situations. In addition, temperatures in the teens overnight and into tomorrow morning, give us great concern for the safety and well-being of students walking to and waiting at bus stops. We realize the temperatures will be cold for the week, but believe after talking to other local agencies that there will be continued efforts tomorrow to clean up intersections and some smaller side-street areas. The district fully intends to open Wednesday, January 28.

Winter Track - Ryan McCann won the 800m in a Senior Record (#3 in school history) & Vinny Vecchio outleaned two runners to bring home 2nd place in the 800m (#5 in school history). Alexy Torres flew to a 3rd place & School Record in the Long Jump.

Ms. Stephens’ Honors II classes held their annual debate tackling one big question: What poses the greater risk to society—technology taking over our lives or depleted natural resources? Students came prepared, thoughtful, and passionate, with one student even joining via Google Meet while vacationing in Italy! Congratulations to all participants!
